A panoramic x-ray shows a broad view of the patient’s entire mouth including the surrounding tissues and structures. These x-rays allow your dentist to see problems such as bone abnormalities, cysts, tumors, infections, fractures and impacted teeth.

With a panoramic x-ray there are no sensors placed inside the mouth. Instead the head of the panoramic machine moves slowly around the outside of the patient’s head. The image is then instantly available on the computer screen.

Digital X-Rays: Digital x-rays allow your dentist to better detect, diagnose and treat oral problems and diseases. They produce better quality images than the older traditional type of x-rays and have up to 80 percent less radiation. With digital x-rays we are instantly able to share your images with you on our computer screen.

By seeing what your dentist sees you are able to make a more educated decision regarding your treatment. Digital x-rays are easily stored as electronic files within our dental software, enabling us to access them quickly any time you wish to see them. Digital x-rays are also a “greener” alternative to the traditional style as there are no chemicals involved in any part of the process.
